Thereafter, the following agenda points were taken up for discussion:
1. Efforts for academic improvement: The school is known for its results. Hence
academic improvement is on top priority. The parent members suggested the
defaulters in submission of C.W & H.W copies to the teachers be intimated to the
parents concerned by the subject teachers regularly for corrective measure & the
follow up action may be taken.
2. Discipline: Discipline is the life line of the educational institution. The
parents expressed satisfaction over the efforts taken by the teachers to
maintain the discipline in the school. They further suggested in case of any
indiscipline by the students, the matter may be brought to the notice of the
parent concerned & in case no remedy is available, the matter may be processed
through the head of the department concerned of PPT for Port employees.
3. Eviction of Tobacco product seller: Selling of tobacco products just near the
Primary building boundary wall is unethical & undesirable as it induces bad
habit among the students. Principal expressed his concern over this. The Estate
Officer was intimated to take some step to evict the tobacco product seller from
the vicinity of school campus but so far the shop keeper is not yet evicted.
Principal requested the parent members to liaise with Estate Officer & get the
shop keeper evicted at the earliest in the best interest of the students. The
parent members assured to take up the issue with the Estate Officer, PPT for
necessary action at the earliest.
At last the meeting ended with thanks to all the members of the Executive
Committee of PTA.
