Kendriya Vidyalaya, Paradip Port was established in 1974. It was established
to cater to the needs of the children of the employees of Paradip Port Trust.
Over the last 3 decades, the Vidyalaya has grown not only in number of student
population and the quality of infrastructure but also in student performance
and accomplishments.
Situated over a 10 acre campus in the sprawling Port Township of
Paradip Port Trust, the centre offers learning opportunity to students from
Class 1 to XII. Primary section has its own independent building. In the
higher secondary section, both science and commerce streams are available for
pursuit of study. Today, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Paradip Port counts itself as a
reputed institute of education in Paradip.

The Genesis- Kendriya
Vidyalaya, Paradip Port
was established in the year 1974
in Neheru Bangla (named after the First Prime Minister Shri J. Neheru,
who resided here during the construction of Paradip Port).
Situated
over a 10 acre campus in the sprawling Port Township of Paradip Port
Trust, the centre offers learning opportunity to students from Class 1
to XII. The Primary section has its own independent building. In the higher secondary
section, both science and commerce streams are available for pursuit of
study. Today, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Paradip port counts itself as a reputed

Important Milestones of Growth
1974- Vidyalaya was established in Neheru Bangla,
approx 15 kms from the present site. Classes were up to 5.
1976- The Vidyalaya was shifted to its present building in Madhuban,
Paradip Port Township. 1977- Class XI (Sc) started
with one section
-
A new separate building was created. Primary section ran in the old
building & the secondary and senior secondary
ran in the new building 1994- Commerce Stream (one
section) was established in 10+2 2001- Physics,
Chemistry, Biology & a spacious Meeting Hall were created after the
devastating Super Cyclone of 1999. |
